Forge FAQs
The best way to choose which materials are right for your stairs is to match the material with other materials around your home. All of the Forge stair parts are designed to work together, and also work with most of the ranges supplied by Jackson Woodturners, so you don’t need to worry about choosing the wrong material within your balustrade.
These products should be wiped clean with a damp cloth whenever dust or dirt starts to collect. You don’t need to use any special coatings as the pieces come ready to install. For more information on caring for your Forge stair parts, read our full guide on caring for wooden stair parts.
Fitting a balustrade yourself is a relatively easy task that anyone can do with the right tools. To see a step by step guide on how to install a bannister, watch our video on how to fit a base rail, handrail, and spindles.
